Frida Pot - watch here

Apologies for quality of film as it was shot in 2007 on an ancient digital camera... the piece, approximately two feet high, was decorated in coloured slip with scenes from Frida Kahlo's life. The head was hollow and the piece was meant to be on a turner so viewers could spin it and look at it from all different angles. Also the head was going to be filled with slips of paper featuring excerpts on art from Kahlo's diaries on them, and viewers could take them out, read, and keep them. Unfortunately my degree course was very disorganised and the piece was never fired. As we students were never taught, the entire degree course, how to fire a kiln (health & safety) - madness!
